St.Regis Singapore - St.Regis Executive Suite

I know I have blogged this hotel before but this is the St. Regis Executive King Suite, which has an adjoining king room (Suite 1210) and room 1209, sensational suite, the facilities are truly superb. If you want the ultimate luxury in Singapore then this is where you will get it. You really must try it. 

Pullman Reef Hotel, Cairns - An Absolute Gem in Far North QLD!

Every wondered where you can find the hotel with the best customer service in Australia? Well look no further... The Pullman Reef hotel and casino is it! 

This 5 star boutique hotel used to be a Sofitel but is now a Pullman which is one of Accor Hotels finest brands, known as "Upscale", only one level down from Ultimate Luxury BUT in saying this, the customer service in this establishment is the best I have ever recieved in a hotel anwyhere in Australia. From Management to the Housekeping staff there is something quite special about the staff in this hotel.

 The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed with all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel, the junior suites and suites are huge and come with the added extra of a Nespresso machine for an early morning coffee at your leisure. The suites have large balconies, some overlooking the harbour and others overlooking the vibrant city of Cairns, from which you can see the gorgeous sunset. The added pleasure of coming back to your room after a long day and having complimentary Turn Down Service is just another service this hotel offers, you know I am a sucker for free water and chocolates by my bed! THE BEST CLUB SANDWICH prize goes to this hotel, room service is fast, attentive and cater for any allergies and they get it right and it is reasonably priced. The facilities of the hotel are very good, lovely pool, spa and day beds, gym and sauna and great entertainment within the Casino Complex.

Rooms have beautiful plush white Sofitel branded towels and robes and the bathrooms are kept pristine clean and the delightful French Amenities Roger & Gallet are just to add to the experience. 

Overall this hotel is divine, The Customer Service is just unbelievable, the staff are passionate about providing customer service and they are very good at it.  I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the vibrant and fun City of Cairns. Their man made beach and board walks boast a fabulous view of the sea and mountains, a very picturesque part of the world, many great tours and sightseeing to be had. If you go to Cairns, definitely check this hotel out ! It's a must !

It's been a while !

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since my last blog, do not panic, we went away in July but we stayed at one of our fave properties in Sydney, The Sheraton on the Park and again, it was superb. Please see previous review on the Sheraton on the Park. We are off to Cairns in a couple fo weeks so I would love it if you could visit champagne4everyone again soon.

1907 Bar and Restaurant, Perth !

SNOGS, SULKS, COCKTAILS, ROUND TRIPS TO MACCAS, RANDOM KEBABS AND SOME GARDEN  MAINTENANCE... makes for a great afternoon doing cocktail course at 1907 Restaurant and Bar in Perth City, a seriously fantastic way to spend a pissy weekend with great friends.

NEW Hotel - Four Points Hotel by Sheraton, Bangkok...a great little gem !

Rob and I stayed here a couple of nights in transit and it is new, funky, has a fantastic quirky style about it and is very modern !

It's bright, colourful and different. It has a fantastic Beer Bar, wonderful rooftop terrace with pool and bar. Its close to most things in Bangkok and easy to get back to from a night out.

The restaurant Breakfast needs work, it really isn't great so I would suggest getting a Room Only Rate at this hotel, lots of great food around so do not worry.

Sheraton Towers Singapore... Long in the tooth lah !

Yup, Sheraton Towers is very long in the tooth and needs an upgrade urgently. I would not stay here again. Although the staff are friendly , the place is ragged, run down and old.


the rooms are all BEIGE and Boring, the bathrooms are stained, mouldy and just plain and boring. The lobby is tired and it is not in the best location at all. A real disappointment and certainly not to Sheraton's usual standards. 


Totally overpriced for what it is and you will be very surprised that this is actually a Sheraton... Definitely much better places to stay in Singapore for the same price, with better convenience and better facilities.

Taylor's Studio and Coffee House...Fantastic Rustic Cafe in the Swan Valley, Perth

Last Saturday I met a friend at Taylor's Studio and Coffee House int he Swan valley to discuss her upcoming wedding in which I am lucky enough to be coordinating for them. It was raining and she had her dog "Jedda" with her so we braved the cold and sat outside under the corrugated Tin roof and listened to the rain pour down. Although cold it was surrounded by beautiful Iron and metal sculptures and inside the caffe a fabulous array of artwork from local artist, Jude Taylor.

On approaching the register to order, we were met by a very friendly gentleman named michael who I later found out to be the owner 

and son of Jude.

We ordered and food was served quickly and very well presented, my bacon and egg roll was served in home made fresh bread with a gorgeous chutney, the peppermint tea was lovely and my friend enjoyed a lovely bacon and mushroom bruschetta style. The coffee was great, the setting was great, the food was fantastic and the service was warm, friendly and well suited to the venue. I will definitely be back and I strongly recommend you 

give this place a go!
