Hey Folks, Rob and I went to Melbourne again this month to party with bears from around the world for the Southern HiBearnation Festival. More on that later but we stayed at the Westin Melbourne again, one of our favourite hotels. The Ash from The Chilli Volcano kept us in Melb an extra two nights so we thought we would try out the Unwind Ritual. The Unwind is a signature activity exclusive to Westin Brand and it differs from Hotel to Hotel. In Melbourne the unwind will cost you $29 per person. The Unwind here is a journey down Martini Lane, learning all about the origins of cocktails especially the Martini as this Hotel has a specified Martini bar that is superb.
The Unwind is a great way to finish a hectic day at work or after a day hitting the sales! The bartender will go into great detail and take you on a trip down cocktail lane explaining what is in a Marntini, how to make one(which you also do in the course) and how to drink one which is the best part of all!
We had Sammy, one of the bar supervisors facilitate our UNWIND experience and we really enjoyed it. For $29 you get to learn about it, learn how to make one, and best of all you get a fabulous cocktail and finger food all included and a Belvedere Cocktail book to take home!
Highly recommend this experience for anyone who may be thinking of staying at this fine hotel.
