Well what can one say about the St. Regis Hotel Singapore other than...WOW!
We arrived on a Friday evening and were greeted from the limo at the front door where we were ushered to the check in desks. I say desks because they are beautiful dark wood desks in which check in is personal. As we sat in front of an extremely well groomed receptionist and she had our booking ready for us, a very pleeasing check in experience!
We were then escorted by te said receptionist to the lift and then to our room to ensure we were happy with the room that had been assigned to us for our stay. We were staying in a Grand Deluxe King Room and as we entered the room we were amazed at the hotels beauty. The receptionist asked us if we were happy with the room and we replied "absolutely" She then told us that our personal butler would arrive shirtly to go through the rooms features and to assist us with whatever we required. The Butler arrived and asked us if we required him to unpack for us, we declined but it was great to have this service offered. he went through every bit of the room, the Bose surround sound system, the lights, the mini bar al the services that the butlers offered.
We gave him 5 items for pressing (this is also included in this room category) and he asked us when we wanted them back pressed. the service in this hotel was FLAWLESS !
Rob and I unpacked our bags then went to visit friends in another room.
When we returned to our room, we had chocolates on the bed, turn down service had been and replenished the room with fresh flowers, fresh towels, chocolates, bottled water and had our gowns laid out on the bed ready for sleep and some lovely background music playing.
This hotel does it very well. The Bathroom are just beautiful, full marble with free standing Roman bathtub and digital television above the bath for your viewing pleasure.
We awake the next morning and our complimentary coffee (short Mac) and freshly brewed potted signature tea was delivered at the time we specified.
First Class Hotel, First Class Staff and First Class Service. I CANNOT FAULT THIS HOTEL !
